Slowi privacy policy

Slowi ("we") is made by Flynner, the Netherlands. Questions about this policy or your data: support@slowi.app.
What Slowi does on your phone
To lock apps at bedtime and during a focus lock, Slowi uses Android permissions that let it:
- See which app is open (usage access), so it knows when to cover an app that should be away.
- Draw over other apps, to show the lock screen over that app.
- Schedule exact alarms and show the alarm full screen, to wake you.
- Show notifications, to say a lock is running.
Slowi only reads which app is in front, never what is on the screen. It does not read your messages, photos, browsing or anything inside other apps.
The instant shield (optional). If you turn it on, Slowi uses Android's Accessibility Service API to learn which app has just opened, so it can cover a blocked app straight away. It receives only the name of that app. It cannot read what is on your screen or what you type, and it does not act on your behalf. What it sees is used on your phone at that moment and is not stored, sent or shared. You can turn it off any time in Android's Accessibility settings.
What we store, and where
On your phone: your schedule, the apps you allow during a lock, your locks and nights (when they started and ended, and how), which blocked apps were opened during a lock, your streak and your progress.
The apps on your phone: to let you choose which apps stay reachable, Slowi reads the list of apps installed on your phone. That list stays on your phone; only the names of apps you allowed, and of apps opened during a lock, are part of your account's backup.
In your account (so a new phone or a reinstall gets it back):
- your email address, or your Google account's email and name if you sign in with Google;
- a backup of the on-phone data above, including the names of apps you allowed and the names of apps opened during a lock;
- a device identifier made by Slowi, so only one phone uses an account at a time;
- your streak and total time locked.
This is stored with Supabase, our database and sign-in provider, on servers in the EU (Ireland).
Purchases: Slowi Plus is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your card. RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives your account's identifier and your purchase history from Google Play so the app knows whether you have Plus.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data to track you across other apps.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. Delete your account and the account, its backup and its profile are deleted at once. Data on your phone stays until you uninstall the app.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Without the app: see https://slowi.app/delete-account, or email support@slowi.app from the address on the account.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@slowi.app. If you are in the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Slowi is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
